Investment Heatmap

Overview

The Investment Heatmap template (click to download) can be used for the following purposes:

• Analyze how securities have performed relative to each other
• Analyze relative performance for trailing annual returns, 3 month returns, and 1 month returns

Below is an example section of the Investment Heatmap report:

How it works

1. Enter the Securities 

On the "Ticker Input" tab, enter the securities that you'd like to analyze in the cells C4:C118 & H4:H18.

2. Print or Save the report as a PDF

First, click on any of the "...Total Return" tabs to view the appropriate report. To print or save the report as a PDF, click the File button. Select Print or Export to save as a PDF.

*PLEASE NOTE: Do not delete or add any rows in the spreadsheet. Only delete the contents within a cell. This will ensure the spreadsheet will calculate all the data properly. 

Specifications and Details

Total Returns

Trailing annual returns are over calendar years. The trailing 1 month & 3 month return series' use monthly data starting as of the last month-end.
